We provide a professional service at competitive rates. Our fees can either be charged on an hourly basis or, if prefered, a fixed-cost basis. Every project is unique and the level of fees will of course depend on the type and scale of project and specific services required.

Upon completion of our initial assessment of a project, we will be pleased to provide you with either a detailed Costs Estimate or fixed-price Quotation in writing, together with our Standard Terms of Business, for your approval prior to commencement of any work.

A fee is payable in respect of planning applications to the Local Planning Authority (LPA). The amount payable depends on the type and scale of the development, on which we can advise at the outset. There are different fees for England and Wales.

A range of exemptions and reductions may be available depending on the individual circumstances. We can advise accordingly upon completion of an appraisal on receipt of our client's instructions.

Fee Calculator

The online Government portal provides a Planning Portal's fee calculator which can be used to determine fees for different kinds of proposals. The determination of whether a fee is correct is solely the responsibility of the relevant LPA.

On all Projects we undertake, we verify the position and advise our client as appropriate.

Planning Portal service charge

From September 2018, the Planning Portal  for now processes payments for planning applications, as part of its "Financial Transaction Service", and there will be a service charge applied to planning applications submitted online that attract an application fee. The service charge is £26.83 (+ VAT).
